Service Activities - How to Run the EDDIE Rate Calculation Financial Report
Guide to running the combined financials report for 3E service centers.
This report is developed by System Government Costing to assist service activities in populating the Rate Calculation Financial Template using Banner financial information from the Rate Calculation Financial Report in EDDIE. This report is meant to be used in conjunction with the Rate Calculation Template available on the BusFin Service and Storeroom Center website.
Open the Report
- Log in to EDDIE using NetID credentials.
- BusFin website drop-down menu Applications
- Navigate to the folder location:
- Folders > Public Folders > Service Activity Financial Reports
- Direct link located in the Service Activity Resources page in the Rate Calc EDDIE Reports menu.
- Open the UR_SA_Rate Calculation Financial Report with Depreciation in EDDIE.
NOTE: The previous reports have been compiled into one version of the Rate Calculation Financial Report. This report now pulls the Banner financial information along with the equipment depreciation in the fiscal year.
Answer the Report Prompts in the EDDIE Text Fields Enter a Value Manually
- Enter Chart of Account – Type the single-digit Chart of Account into the text field.
- 1 for UIUC, 2 for UIC, 4 for UIS, 9 for System
- Enter Fund Code – Type the 6-digit Fund Code for the Service Activity into the text field.
- Enter Fiscal Year – Type the 4-digit fiscal year into the text field.
- The report uses the Responsible Org code assigned to the Service Activity fund to pull equipment associated with the fund using the Fund Attribute Value or Fund Source code fields.
- Since depreciation is only recorded in Banner during the year end closing process, if the current fiscal year is used in this field, the report will project the expected depreciation which may not match the actual amount recorded in Banner at year end.
- Run – Select the Run button in the lower right corner.
- Once this report has run, you will need to download and save it in a place most convenient for you.
Export the Report to Excel
- Select the Export button in the upper left corner of the EDDIE ribbon menu or type Ctrl+E.
- This button resembles an arrow pointing downward.
- Select the All Reports checkbox.
- Select the Export button in the lower right corner.
- The file will save to the default folder location for downloads.
