Installing Software from an ISO Image
An ISO image file is a single file that contains an exact copy of the contents of a CD or DVD.
To install software from an ISO image, follow the instructions below based on your operating system.
Windows 8, 8.1, 10, and 11
-
Right-click the ISO image file.
-
Select Mount from the menu.
-
The ISO will open like a DVD and appear as a new drive in File Explorer.
-
-
Open the new drive and browse to the setup or installer file.
-
Double-click the setup file to begin installation.
Windows 7
Windows 7 does not support mounting ISO files natively. You must extract the contents first.
-
Install an extraction tool such as WinZip or 7-Zip.
-
Right-click the ISO image file and select an Extract option.
-
Choose a folder on your hard drive to extract the files.
-
Navigate to the extracted folder and double-click the setup or installer file to begin installation.
macOS
-
Double-click the downloaded .iso or .dmg file.
-
The Disk Image Mounter utility (included with macOS) will open the file.
-
-
The disk image will mount as a virtual drive on your desktop or in Finder.
-
Open the mounted drive and double-click the installer file to begin installation.
-
When installation is complete, unmount the virtual drive by dragging it to the Trash (this will not delete your files).
Additional Notes
-
Installation steps may vary by software. Refer to your WebStore order history and the software order details for product-specific installation instructions.
-
You may also choose to burn the ISO image to a DVD as a backup copy.
-
In Windows 7 and newer, right-click the ISO file and select Burn Disk Image.
