U of I Box, Transfer ownership of folders when the current owner is unavailable
If a user has left the University and did not transfer ownership of shared data in Box before leaving, that data will still be owned by that user. In order to have the ownership changed to another user, you must follow the change of ownership process provided by Security. Please visit the link below to begin this process.
Additionally, to avoid this issue in the future, the Box Team recommends that you request a Shared Team Folder for the data and after approval by Security, the data can be transferred directly to a Team Folder and the current collaborations will be maintained.
