Help Desk, Help Desk Tools Access Program

The Help Desk Tools Access Program (HDTAP) is designed to provide IT Pros across campus with tools that allow them to better support their units.

This initiative was implemented in an effort to provide access to the Technology Services Help Desk tools to additional IT Personnel in order to enable more support teams to complete their own requests.

HDTAP currently allows IT Pros to request access to any of the following tools:

  • Active Directory (AD) Tools: (mainly used to unlock user accounts)
  • Cerebro: (provides basic directory info, account status, information about cloud services and more)

To gain access, you must first complete a short, self-paced training course that covers rules and instructions for using each tool. At the end of training you will be provided with a link to the request form. You will be notified via the ticketing system (TDX) when your request has been processed and access is granted.

Access to the Help Desk Tools is audited yearly and you will receive notices 30 days and 7 days before your access expires. Please fill out the short renewal form included in the expiration notice to extend your access for another year.
