Qualtrics - Using a "Collaboration Code" to share a survey
From your list of survey projects, click the three dots to the right of the survey you want to share.
Type the email address of the person you want to add as a collaborator. If you are sharing a survey between licenses with yourself, type your own email address here. Click Add Selected to place the email address in the Collaborator list below. NOTE: It's important that you DO NOT use the Qualtrics Address Book lookup. After you've selected the appropriate permissions for the collaboration, click the "Save" button at the bottom of the window.
The Invite to collaborate confirmation window will then pop up. Confirm that the address listed is correct, add any text you would like to the Custom Message, and then click "Invite".
The email address that your collaborator will receive will look something like the one below. Note the "Collaboration Code:" listed. You will need to copy and paste this code in the next step.
Once the code has been received by the collaborator, they will need to login to their Qualtrics account. If you are sharing between licenses, you will need to login to the account from the other license. (i.e. If you have shared a survey from the UIUC campus Qualtrics license with your ACES Qualtrics account, you will need to login to your ACES Qualtrics account.)
Once your account is open and displaying your list of survey projects, click the "Shared with me" link on the upper left of the projects area. When you click this link the "Enter Collaboration Code" link will appear near the top right of the projects area. Click the "Enter Collaboration Code" link.
To Accept the Survey Collaboration paste the code that you received in the email into the text field and click "Submit".
The shared survey should now be available for you to view and edit as defined by the permissions assigned when it was shared.
