Wireless, Reconnect to IllinoisNet from Windows Login Screen

In Fall 2025, campus released a new device-based wireless certificate that reduces the individual burden for connecting to IllinoisNet on Windows computers. Follow the guide below to apply the new certificate and reconnect to IllinoisNet. These instructions only apply to Windows computers on campus that use IllinoisNet for their network connection. Off-campus computers only need to follow these steps if they will ever use IllinoisNet.

Following the application of the new certificate, if your computer hasn't been restarted in a while, you might see a strange double set of login credential prompts at the login screen. You must restart your computer to clear that out and pick up the new certificate.

On the login screen, select the Power button, lower-right corner, and choose "Restart"
