Using Speakflow for Self-Teleprompting

Speakflow allows you to display and follow a script near your webcam so you can maintain eye contact while recording.

1. Access Speakflow

2. Organize Your Scripts

  • Click the "+" icon next to "Folders"

  • Create a folder for your course (Course Name or Course + Module)
  • Enter name and click "Create"

3. Create a New Script

  • Open your folder
  • Click "+ New script"

  • Add a title
  • Paste your script into the editor

  • Click "Present Script" 

4. Present your script 

  • Ensure "Flow" mode is selected
  • Check other settings if needed
  • Click "Start" 

Note: Ensure the correct microphone is select in "Settings" > "Devices"

5. Use Speakflow While Recording

  • Place speakflow on your main monitor near your webcam
  • Start Zoom recording
  • Read while looking toward camera as much as possible
  • Text will highlight as you speak

6. Stop Your Script

  • Click "Stop" when finished

Tips

  • Practice once before recording
  • Speak naturally
  • Keep sentences short
  • Pause between sections
  • Adjust settings as needed

Important Reminder

Move the web browser window with Speakflow as close to your webcam as possible to maintain eye contact
