Security, System Login Banner

Approved language for use in login banners on University owned devices.

A login banner is used to inform authorized users of their responsibilities related to the acceptable use of the campus computing environment.  Login Banners also provide a warning to possible intruders that may want to access University systems.  The following language has been approved for use on University endpoints owned by Urbana-Champaign and Springfield Campuses, as well as the System Offices.  A login banner is required as part of a secure system configuration as prescribed in IT10.1 and IT04.1.

The following language is suggested to meet university banner requirements.
