Zoom: Issues joining a restricted meeting or webinar

This article shows how to access a Zoom meeting that is restricted to Illinois Zoom accounts (Illinois email accounts).

If University of Illinois Zoom participants attempt to join a University of Illinois Zoom meeting or webinar and are presented with the warning: This meeting is for authorized attendees only, please follow the steps below to access the meeting:

Join from Zoom desktop application:

  1. Click Sign in to Join

  2. Follow the instructions at Zoom, Logging in, to log into the desktop application.

Join from browser:

  1. Click "sign in with SSO

  2. Sign in with your University of Illinois netID and password

Join from Zoom mobile application

  1. Click Sign In
