Using the Redirect Tool in a Canvas Course

The Redirect Tool can be used within your course to add external links as items to the course navigation menu.

Add the Redirect Tool to my course

  • Navigate to "Settings" > "Apps" 
  • Select the "Redirect Tool" app
  • Select "Add App"
  • Fill out the information as desired
  • Save the item
  • Refresh the page to see it in navigation
