General Information
The Jamf Pro Dashboard is the first page you see after logging into Jamf Pro. It provides a convenient, at-a-glance view of important information about the Apple endpoints and management objects in your scope. Dashboards can be customized to surface the most relevant details for your role, such as compliance status, patch management progress, or deployment tracking. Jamf Pro dashboards are unique to each user. When you save a new dashboard layout, it does not affect the dashboard of any other users.
The Inventory Information section of the dashboard displays a global count of computers and devices across the entire Jamf Pro instance. This section cannot be modified or removed.
Accessing the Dashboard
After logging into the Jamf Pro console, the Dashboard loads by default. You can return to it at any time by clicking Dashboard in the sidebar or the Jamf Pro logo in the top-left corner. Note: The Dashboard does not auto-refresh. Use your browser’s refresh button or press F5 (Windows) / Command+R (Mac) to update displayed data.
Adding Dashboard Widgets
Widgets display live data from objects you’ve created in Jamf Pro. You can add widgets to your Jamf Pro dashboard by selecting the Show in Jamf Pro Dashboard checkbox during or after creation of the following Jamf Pro objects:
- Configuration profiles (computers and mobile devices)
- Licensed software
- Policies
- Smart groups (computers, mobile devices, and users)
Once added, widgets appear on your Dashboard. Clicking a widget heading takes you directly to the corresponding object in Jamf Pro for more detail. Clicking the count of a widget will take you directly to the corresponding list of applicable computer and device objects.
Example Dashboard Widget Use Cases
- Security & Compliance: Display smart groups for endpoints that are non-compliant with default security configurations or have broken CrowdStrike installations (use the "EPS - Crowdstrike Status - Broken" smart computer group at the Full Jamf Pro site as a model)
- Hardware management: Display smart groups for endpoints that are low on disk space/storage (use the "EPS - Computers Low Storage" smart computer group at the Full Jamf Pro site as a model)
