Wiki, Attaching files

NOTE: The University of Illinois is in the process of retiring its Confluence wiki. No new spaces can be created since June 2023. Existing spaces can be used until December 2023, at which point they will become read-only until June 2024. For alternatives, visit the Wiki Options Finder or contact the wiki team for a consultation.

How do I attach a file to a page on the Illinois Wiki?

While on the page where you want to add the attachment, select "Attachments" from the More Actions (more actions menu iconmenu on the top right corner of the page.

If you have permission to add attachments, you will see instructions on the page to browse for attachments and/or drag and drop files.
Follow the on-screen instructions to attach your file(s).

If you see only a list of attachments or a message that there are no attachments for the page, then your account does not have the "Add Attachments" permission.  Contact the space administrator to request access.

You can also add attachments from the content editor by choosing "Files and images" then following the instructions to insert files that are already attached, upload and attach a new file, or insert a file from a web link.  You can also drop image files directly into the editor window to add them to your page.
