Campus Wi-Fi, Wireless Routers Not Allowed in Residence Halls

Per University Housing's policy, wireless routers are not allowed in the residence halls.

The campus wireless networks (IllinoisNet, IllinoisNet_Guest, and eduroam) are available for use, and wired ethernet connections are available in most residence hall rooms, but residents should not set up their own routers or hotspots using these.

University Housing's Residential Technology group has more information about the networks in the residence halls on their website: Technology Help | University Housing

Residential Technology can be contacted by submitting the University Housing Residential Technology Form or by calling 217-244-1111.
