Skype for Business, Features within the Outlook Web App

Instant messaging – currently enabled
When you log in to https://outlook.office365.com Skype for Business' instant messaging features will be available to you as well.
- The first time you log in to outlook.office365.com, you will be logged in to Skype for Business instant messaging immediately.
- To sign in, sign out or change your status, click your display name or name initials/picture in the upper right corner and choose from the list of options there.
- Outlook.office365.com remembers your status from one session to another. Choosing "sign out" will keep you signed out even across new Exchange web logins unless you choose to sign in again.
- To access your Skype for Business contact list click the "People" icon in the left hand section below the list of your exchange mailbox folders. Or click on the Skype Icon in the upper right and a drop down will appear where you can search for a contact. To message them click on their name after searching and a chat box will appear at the bottom of your browser window.
Voice and video communication – not yet
While the main Skype for Business clients offer voice and video communication, that feature is not available in the outlook.office.com interfaces.
