Teams, Auto Attendants, Call Queues, and Active Directory Group Membership Updates
It takes up to 8 hours for Active Directory (AD) group membership updates to be reflected in Teams.
Active Directory groups that are email enabled may be referred to as Distribution Lists (DL), when setting up your AD group please set them as Universal-Security groups (scope-type).
Caution: All accounts added to the group have to have a Teams Calling License (A5) or Phone System Add On, this normally entails a phone number and calling plan.
AD groups used with Response Groups should never be empty (no agents), you should always have an active Enterprise Voice account in your group.
Please do NOT delete an AD Group used with Response Groups, please notifying consult@illinois.edu about the changes you wish to make to your Response Group, we will assist you with the changes and make sure this doesn't impact other systems.
