Security, I can't run QuickTime anymore
QuickTime no longer supported
Two critical vulnerabilities have been found in QuickTime for Windows. Apple confirmed that they will no longer fix security issues with QuickTime, leaving any systems running this software vulnerable.
What We're Doing
Security created a domain-wide rule that will disallow QuickTime from
running on Windows systems that are joined to UOFI Active Directory.
The rule was applied on May 23, 2016.
When this rule is applied, customers who try to run QuickTime or open a
QuickTime file will receive an error message that this program is blocked.
What You Can Do
Remove QuickTime for Windows from all machines in your unit, and switch to alternatives like Windows Media Player or VLC.
