General Information

Software Center is a self-service interface to install applications, software updates, and upgrade Windows. Software Center is a part of the MECM client installation.

Applications can be deployed in a number of ways: they may be made available or required, to install or uninstall, made visible in Software Center or hidden, and can be targeted to devices or users. Endpoints targeted by an application deployment can launch Software Center by searching for "software center" in the Start Menu. Users can use the Software Center's search box to find desired content.

This feature enables self-service access for users without having to contact a local IT Pro. This makes the Software Center more useful when a non-administrative user needs a program installed.  Review the Microsoft documentation below for additional information about Software Center.
