The change to campus on-boarding/admit processes - process change details:
Previously, new hires (faculty and staff) and admitted graduate students
were asked to create their Exchange mailbox through prompts in UI New Hire
or NetID Claim.
Undergraduates were previously provisioned Google Apps at Illinois mailboxes through NetID Claim.
For Undergraduate students, any that go through NetID Claim will receive Office 365 mailboxes. Information on the NetID Claim page will be updated as part of the change to reflect this information.
For Staff/Faculty/Graduate students those sites will no longer create
mailboxes. Mailboxes will be created through auto-provisioning steps as
part of licensing for Office 365.
Staff/Faculty/Graduate students that already have a NetID but have not
created their Exchange mailbox will need manual
assistance from Technology Services to get a mailbox because they will not
have access to partnercomputing.illinois.edu, and auto-provisioning will
not catch their established NetID.
Please contact email@example.com
or 217-244-7000 with the NetID and an
alternative email address we can use to alert that the mailbox is ready for
