Authorization

DHCP Authorization

The preferred method is to use the DHCP service.

Legacy Windows-based DHCP servers require special authorization in Active Directory. To request this authorization, you must email the name of the AD computer account to adsupport@illinois.edu.

Network Policy Server (NPS) Authorization

Windows-based NPS (RADIUS, etc.) servers require special authorization in Active Directory. To request this authorization, you must email the name of the AD computer account to adsupport@illinois.edu.

Terminal Server Authorization

Windows-based Terminal Servers require special authorization in Active Directory. To request this authorization, you must email the name of the AD computer account to adsupport@illinois.edu.

NOTE: You are required to purchase a client-access license (CAL) from Webstore. (webstore.illinois.edu) This purchase should be complete before requesting authorization.
