SCS Microanalysis Lab Status

Facility Announcements:

• The MicroAnalysis Lab will be closed on campus holidays throughout the year.
• Technicians may not be available at all times, due to vacation or other needs outside of the lab.  Please check with the technicians if you have a specific deadline for your results.

Microanalysis Lab Equipment

We have a new submission system and it can handle Physi and Chemi requests, along with elemental analysis!  https://go.scs.illinois.edu/fbs 

• ICP-OES -
  • We are having a new ICP-OES tentatively installed March 10. ICP samples will not be run at least that week; therefore analysis turn around times will be extended. We appreciate your patience.
• ICP-MS - 
  • MS Analysis turn around times are also delayed/extended.

• 3FLEX / Surface Area / Physisorption / Chemisorption : Contact scs-microlab@illinois.edu to schedule training.  ChemFom is not used for this instrument.  Staff can also run samples for clients, instead of clients running the samples.
