Application Manager (AppWorx) 9.6.1 - How do I install the client for MacOS?

Installation instructions for Application Manager (AppWorx) 9.6.1 for MacOS users.

Please use for AMPROD and AMTEST.  AMDEV will be updated to version 9.6.1 on 10/31/2025.

  1. Download the AppWorxClient.pkg file from Box -
  2. https://uofi.box.com/s/97fine2zy6zjhba5tqukvim8okhynbrq Double click to run the .pkg file If you receive the prompt below, go to System Preferences > Security and Privacy, click on the General tab and select ‘Open Anyway’

  3. AppWorxClient.app will be installed under /Applications/AppWorx_961/
  4. Use a text editor to modify: 
    /Applications/AppWorx_961/AppWorxClient.app/Contents/MacOS/client.properties file
    Update JAVA_HOME
  5. Save client.properties (you may need to save as admin)
  6. Run AppWorxClient.app NOTE: On MacOS, you will get an error immediately after launching the program. The issue is known to the vendor, but the vendor does not officially support MacOS. Click through the error for now.
    ErrorMsg: AwE-9999 Internal error

  7. Enter your credentials when prompted

    If you would like to uninstall old versions when no longer needed, delete it from the directory it was installed in example /Applications/AppWorx_952/.
