University Bursar - How do I pay with Credit Card, Debit Card, or Apple Pay?

The University accepts American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa credit cards, debit cards and Apple Pay payments online through UI-Pay. Pre-paid cards are not accepted.

All domestic credit card, debit card and Apple Pay transactions will be assessed a non-refundable 2.5% service fee.

  • The service fee will appear as a separate charge on your credit card statement and two payment transactions will appear on your UI-Pay account Transaction History. Tip: If you're paying from a U.S. checking or savings account using a debit card, you can avoid the service fee by selecting the eCheck payment method and entering your bank account number and routing number instead.

Depending on your financial institution's policies, you may need to contact them prior to making a card payment to avoid the payment being rejected. Some banks have daily transaction limits or flag payments to the University as fraudulent.

Before you submit a card payment you'll need:

  • Account Holder Name
  • Card number
  • Card expiration date
  • CVV2 security code
  • Billing Address
