AITS - Service Desk - Banner Self-Service - Error: 'There is no person record setup for your UIN'
This error may appear if you try to access the Self-Service application and fall in one or more of these categories:
- International students affiliated with the Intensive English Institute (IEI)
- Visiting scholars
- You do not have a 9-digit UIN (University Identification Number)
If you fall in one of these categories and are trying to submit an online payment to the university, use the GAR Online Payment Center instead. You will not be able to access Self-Service. For more information, see:

Otherwise, ask the customer more information on who they are and what they are trying to do. It's possible they don't need to access Banner Self-Service to accomplish their task, especially if they are not an admitted or enrolled student.
If you cannot solve their issue, document the following in a ticket and assign it to AITS-TAM Student:
- UIN and NetID
- Indicate if the user has a record in the SPAIDEN form in Banner
- Indicate if the user has a record in i-Card
- Affiliation the user has with the University (i.e. student, faculty, staff, etc.).
- Check ISA to make sure user accounts are synced
- Full error message and when it occurs (if possible capture a screen shot of the incident from the user)
- User contact information
The actual database error that generates this error message behind the scenes is: ORA-01400 Cannot Insert NULL into ("UI_WORKFLOW"."T_PERSON_ENTID"."PERSON_PIDM")
