University Bursar - How can I request a credit for a refundable fee?
Instructions for each university:
Urbana does not have any refundable fees. For a detailed description of all fees, please visit the Urbana Office of the Registrar.
Student-to-Student Fee & Sustainability Fee: The scheduled request period is:
- Summer 2021 term: May 17 to May 31, 2021
- Fall 2021 term: August 23 to September 12, 2021
Please email email@example.com to request a waiver form to receive a refund of these two fees. The waiver form must be completed and returned back to University Bursar via email between the dates of August 23, 2021 to September 12, 2021. In the subject line, please enter "UIC Fee Waiver Request". For a detailed description of the fees, please visit the UIC Office of the Registrar website.
Student-to-Student Grant Fee & Green Fee: The scheduled request period is:
- Summer 2021 term: June 7 to June 25, 2021
- Fall 2021 term: August 20 to September 17, 2021
- Spring 2022 term: January 18 to February 18, 2022
Students need to contact the Records and Registration Office at 217-206-6174 or firstname.lastname@example.org. If the student is an on-campus student, they must come in person to fill out the waiver form. If they are an online only student or Peoria campus only, they can email the Records and Registration Office with their name and UIN, and state they are an online (not on campus student) and request to have the spring term STS Grant and/or Green Fee waived. This waiver is a per semester request; they will need to contact the Records and Registration Office again each term by the stated deadline.
