AITS - Service Desk - Banner Admin Pages - PEAFACT - New Rank Record Issue
Warning issue when trying to enter a new action with a new action date
In PEAFACT, if you happen to pull up a general PEAFACT record having at least one rank record, and then click on "TOOLS" --> "Rank Records", and enter or select any position and suffix having at least one rank record, and then click "Next Section" (down arrow at bottom left) and do NOT click anything else or change any data, you will see a screen like this
Then, if you click on "TOOLS" --> "New Date" (as shown in the screenshot below)
A yellow warning prompt (as shown in the screenshot below) is displayed, asking whether you want to save the changes you have made and forcing you to select an option: “Yes”, “No” or “Cancel”. Since you have not made any changes to the data and your intention was not to exit the screen but to enter a new action with a new action date, this yellow warning prompt to save changes and exit is inappropriate.
Workaround for this issue
Click “No” in response to the yellow warning pop-up. This will enable you to start over. The second time through the process you can instead click inside the “This Action Date” field and use the down arrow to enter/insert/create a new action with a new action date.
Additional Comments:
The same problem happens when you click on "TOOLS" --> "New Action". Also, the “Insert” button does not work to create new records, which has been the case since Banner 9 went live. Again, there is a workaround for all three similar issues, which is to go into the “This Action Date” field and use the down arrow to enter a new action with a new action date.
