University Bursar - How do I receive my student account refund?
If you are not signed up for direct deposit, there will be a delay in receiving your funds.
To receive your funds faster, sign up for direct deposit. Direct deposit is the electronic transfer of funds into a U.S. checking or savings account. Log into your UI-Pay account and select "Direct Deposit" to enroll.
If you choose not to enroll in direct deposit:
- Financial aid refund checks will be sent to your mailing address on file with the University. It can take over 10 days from the date your refund transaction is posted to your student account for a check to be sent to your mailing address on file.
- A credit balance due to over-payment may remain on your student account.
- Note: Certain over-payments on your student account, such as credit card or international payments, must be refunded back to the original payment method.
If you have questions, email bursarhelp@uillinois.edu.
