Printing, Setting Accounting Codes on a Windows Computer
Certain printers and copiers in the college, such as the Konica Minolta in 320 Wohlers, may require authentication before you are able to successfully print to them. Following the steps in this article will allow you to setup "Account Track" with your department's assigned Account Track code. If you are unsure of your department's assigned Account Track code, please reach out to your department's office support staff. If you need assistance in setting up, or troubleshooting, your access to a copier, please e-mail helpdesk@business.illinois.edu, call 217-244-0812, or visit 3044 BIF during normal business hours.
Search for "Printers & Scanners" in Windows and select "Open".

In "Printers & Scanners", select the newly installed copier.

In the options for the copier, select "Printing Preferences".

A new window will load, where you can select the option "Authentication/Account Track...".

In the following popup, enter the departmental code that has been provided to you in the "Password" field.
Select "Verify." and wait for the popup to confirm the code is verified.
Finally, select "Ok."

Lastly, in order to confirm your Account Tracking code is set and remembered, select "Apply".

That's it! You should now be able to print to your selected copier with your department's provided account track code.
