Adding a Printer
This is a guide to how end-users can add printers on their own using Universal Print method.
Connecting to a Universal Print Printer
For end-users to connect to a printer to use, it is self-managed by them

On your computer go to the Start menu > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers& scanners > Add device

Be sure in the box for “Show printers and scanners associate with my” is set to “Work or school”

To search for your printer, Click “Select a search location” then click the drop down for University of Illinois and choose your building instead of drilling down to floor numbers. It should show any printer in that building that you have access to.

The location of the printers will be below the printer name. It will have the University of Illinois, building, floor number, and room number

Click on “Add device” and if you have the correct permissions, it will add it.
