How do I sign up for UIC Alert?
Explains how someone can sign up to receive UIC alerts.
- Log in to the UIC Alert website.
- Enter your mobile phone number (10 digits with area code, any format) and click SAVE.
- In a few minutes, you should receive a text message which will contain a unique five-character code (for example: XbtGQ):
Enter XbtGQ on the web page to verify this phone.
This code is unique to each mobile phone number. Enter this code in the online form and click SAVE to complete the subscription process.
- Important Note: Since this is the first message you receive from our provider, they will send you a second message which will offer you the option to opt-out of receiving text messages:

Ignore the second message.This is a free service. Note that your mobile service provider may charge you for receiving text messages, so consult your service plan. UIC does not charge for UIC Alert.
