How to access the Academic Continuity Tutorial?

The ACCC-LTS has created a tutorial called “Blackboard Basic Steps for Academic Continuity.” This tutorial intends to guide instructors and students who are new to Blackboard. If you are already suing Blackboard with your class, this is not for you.

Blackboard Learn and Blackboard Collaborate can help by providing a variety of services to connect instructors and students remotely so that work and learning can continue uninterrupted.

Follow the steps below to access the tutorial:

1. Log in to uic.blackboard.com using your UIC NetID and Password

2. Click on My courses

3. Select the course you are working on. If you see many courses, you can filter by “Courses I teach”

4. Click on the course to open it

  • 5. Now you will see either an Original Course View or a Simplified Course View as shown in the pictures below. Follow the steps according to the screen you see:

Original Course View

  • 1. Click on Tools. Tools should be available in the left-hand course menu, but if it is not, you will need to add a Tool link so you and your students can use the tutorial.
  • 2. Click on Academic Continuity and follow the tutorial in Blackboard to get started.

  • 1. Click on Academic Continuity Tutorial and follow the tutorial in Blackboard to get started.
