Instructions

1. You will receive an Email Invitation for ChatGPT from noreply@tm.openai.com that reads as follows: “Andre Krabbe (akrabbe@illinois.edu) has invited you to collaborate using ChatGPT Edu in the workspace University of Illinois ChatGPT Education - Illinois Campus.”
   
   
   
2. Within that email, click the Join workspace button.
   
   
   
3. On the Get started page, click the Log in button.
   
   
   
4. In the Log in or sign up prompt, enter your affiliated university email address into the Email address field and select the Continue button.
   
   
5. For the How you want to log in? prompt, select the University of Illinois button.
   
   
   
6. On the next prompt, select the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign option and then select the Select button.
   
   
   
7. Next, pick the affiliated university email account.
   
   
   
8. You will now be taken to your ChatGPT Edu workspace with a few pop-ups. Om the first pop-up (about tips for getting started), click the Okay, let's go button.
   
   
   
9. In the next pop-up, select one of the two options: Transfer existing chat history and GPTs, or Export and delete existing chat history. Then, select the Continue button.
   
   
   
10. For the final prompt asking you to connect your apps, you can select either the Not Now or Connect app button. Note that these instructions guide you through the first option.
    
    
    
11. If you selected Export and delete existing chat history in the previous step, you will receive an email notification to download your data export. (See the image below.)
    
    
    
12. You should now see and have access to your ChatGPT Edu workspace. You can begin using it by adding a prompt to the What can I help with? field. Enjoy!
