Gies Alumni - What to Expect and Prepare for

When you leave the University of Illinois and Gies College of Business, you bring your knowledge and experiences with you, but you also leave some things behind. We've put together a quick guide to help you prepare for your next steps, including what resources you will continue to have access to and those you will not.

Make sure businessalumni@illinois.edu is in your contact list so it won’t be blocked or marked as spam. This is where the bulk of your communication from the college will come from once you are an alumnus/a.

Once your student affiliation has expired, you will not be able to use some services. Please note that your student affiliation will expire approximately one year after your last registered semester, regardless of your graduation date. For example, if you last registered for classes in the Fall of 2023, but your graduation date was Summer 2024, your affiliation will end in Fall 2024.
