IP phones should automatically send location information when an E911 call is originated from them.  If it is not, this is most likely due to a bad/old firmware update on the phone and can be resolved with a firmware update.

To perform a test without actually dialing 911, dial 933 on the phone.  On the call the service will read the address that was registered, allowing you to verify it is reporting information correctly.
