These are instructions to securely print to a printer. The print job will be held at the printer until you manually release it with a code at the printer.

Xerox Printers

Windows Instructions (Mac Instructions In-Progress)

The print menu looks a little different depending on which application you are printing from (examples, Word, Adobe PDF, web browser), but in each case look for:

  1. An option to go to Printer Properties, or More Print Options.
  2. Once in the Xerox print GUI, select the first tab, Printing Options
  3. Go to the Job Type field.  The default is Normal Print, change it to Secure Print....
  4. Enter a 4 - 10 digit Passcode.  It will remember your previous passcode, if you simply want to reuse it hit ok.
  5. This setting will be remembered until the application is closed and restarted next time, when it will return to the default.
  6. Once you are printer side:
    1. Select Jobs
    2. Personal & Secure Jobs
    3. Select your NetID
    4. Tap the job you want to print
    5. Enter your pin.

Examples:

Word:  Print > Printer Properties > Printing Options > Job Type > Secure Print... > Enter Pin > Ok > Ok > Print

Adobe PDF:  Print > Properties > Printing Options > Job Type > Secure Print... > Enter Pin > Ok > Ok > Print

Chrome:  Print > More Settings > Print Using System Dialog > More Setting > Printing Options > Job Type > Secure Print... > Enter Pin > Ok > Ok > Print

Note:  Ctrl+Shift+P will go straigt to Print Using System Dialog
