Identity Management, Deactivation, Student, I received notice my NetID will be deactivated but I deferred to a later semester
I was admitted and claimed for a previous semester then decided to defer admission and was accepted for a later term. Now I am being told my account will be deactivated.
When you claimed for your initial admit, the date you claimed was recorded. When you decided to defer, your new admit was applied but you were still active with your current admit, so did not claim that new admittance and your claim date did not change.
Now that the grace period has ended for that previous semester claim, your account is being deactivated, but you will be set to an unclaimed status for your future term.
You can claim again and reactivate your account the same way you did the first time. The will activate your account and reattach your mailbox. You can find instructions on how to claim here.
