Lecture Capture
Lecture capture technology in classrooms allows for high quality recording and sharing of lectures where students do not need to participate synchronously.
- Recordings are automatically published to Illinois Mediaspace (Kaltura).
- No additional equipment is needed if your classroom is equipped for lecture capture.
- All projected content is recorded (including PC, Document Camera, HDMI, BluRay, etc...).
Note: Not all general assignment classrooms are equipped with lecture capture technology. A list of general assignment classrooms with lecture capture can be found here: ClassTech, Lecture Capture Equipped Rooms. This list does not include classrooms maintained by individual departments, such as the Gies College of Business or the Grainger School of Engineering.
To schedule a lecture capture recording for your class, please fill out the Lecture Capture Request form at least two business days in advance. Lecture capture recording can also be scheduled for an entire semester by filling out one form.
Audio Bridge for Live Streaming
The audio bridge is the best option for instructors who need remote students to participate online synchronously.
- Allows for audio streaming to Zoom or Microsoft Teams, including the wireless microphones.
- No additional equipment is needed if your classroom is equipped with an audio bridge.
Note: Not all general assignment classrooms are equipped with an audio bridge. A list of general assignment classrooms with audio bridges can be found here: ClassTech, Audio Bridge. This list does not include classrooms maintained by individual departments, such as the Gies College of Business or the Grainger School of Engineering.
