ClassTech, Mersive Solstice, How to Use

Instructions for using Mersive Solstice wireless presentation devices in the classrooms.
The Mersive Solstice allows you to wirelessly cast your screen from a laptop or tablet to the classroom's projector. We run version 5.3+ on the pods, so all devices must also be running version 5.3+ of the app to present. Click here for OS requirements.

Please Note for Android Users as of 10/18/23:

Mersive's commitment to providing our customers with the best possible experience has led us to temporarily withdraw our app from the Google Play store. We are actively working to refresh its feature set and compatibility with newer Android operating systems. While we don't have a specific timeline to share as to when the app will be made available again on the Play Store, please rest assured that we are dedicated to our brand promise allowing anyone to share from any device. In the meantime, with Miracast enabled on the Pod, screen mirroring is still available on most Android devices using native features like Cast Screen and Smart View. Alternatively, individuals can sideload the app that was previously available on the Play Store. Using this approach, the app can be downloaded using a web browser on an Android device, and the Mersive app can be installed without Google Play Store management.

Important Notes:
  • Please remember to disconnect from the Mersive Pod when you are done presenting. If a previous user has not disconnected from the pod, please call the Help Desk at 217-244-7000, and ask for a Tier 2 staff member to disconnect any previous users.
  • Airplay can take up to 3 (three) minutes to load the device(s) for connecting.
  • Videos shared from your device will have visible lag. This is a known issue and we recommended using a wired connection (HDMI or VGA) when streaming video to the projector.
  • You cannot cast audio from Android devices at this time. We are currently awaiting a fix from Google but do not have a timeframe for the resolution.
  • Linux is not supported at this time.
