Networking, Wireless, WiFi on UI Ride

Information about using WiFi for users of UI Ride.

UI Ride is an intercampus shuttle service connecting Urbana-Champaign and Chicago to provide an affordable, efficient, and convenient mode of transportation for the University of Illinois System faculty, staff, and students to conduct official University of Illinois business as well as to encourage and facilitate research collaborations.

The process for logging onto WiFi while on a UI Ride shuttle is the same as if someone is on the Urbana campus.

Urbana personnel

Urbana faculty, staff, and students can log into IllinoisNet using their netID and password. Detailed instructions for joining IllinoisNet can be found at: Campus Wi-Fi, Connecting to IllinoisNet .

 
UIC personnel
UIC faculty, staff, and students can log into eduroam using their netID@uic.edu and password. Detailed instructions for joining eduroam can be found at: Technology Services Wi-Fi Help, eduroam .
 
Guests
Guests who do not have an Urbana or Chicago campus netID can join IllinoisNet_Guest or use eduroam (if they are eligible). Detailed instructions for joining IllinoisNet Guest can be found at: Campus Wi-Fi, Visitors and Guests .
