iSchool Rooms: How to Use the Built-In Computer
This a guide to using the built-in computer consoles in 501 E. Daniel St. and 614 E. Daniel St.
Built-in PC Guide
Using the built-in computer is a guaranteed way to access a room's technology - and depending on the room, may be the only way to access the cameras and microphones for online / hybrid events. Please view specific room documentation for each space's full capabilities.
- Use the room's control panel to select the built-in PC.
- Documentation for each room type can be found below:
- Each PC has a connected keyboard and mouse, either wired or wireless depending on the room.
- If either device is wireless and is not responsive, check that it is powered on using the power switch on the back.
- The wireless devices have limited range. They work near the receiver but not necessarily elsewhere in the room.
- You may need to move the mouse or press the keyboard to wake up the screen.
- Log in using your NetID and password.
- Guests accounts are available for login but typically are not needed.
If you cannot locate the mouse and keyboard or if you suspect the batteries are low, please contact the Help Desk at 217-244-4903 / 800-377-1892 or ischool-support@illinois.edu.
