University Bursar - What is the SMMC Understand Your Refund challenge?

Understand Your Refund is an educational campaign designed to help students manage their student account refunds and avoid common financial pitfalls.

Offered twice a year by the Student Money Management Center (SMMC) at the beginning of fall and spring semesters, this quiz helps students:

  • Understand how refunds work
  • Make informed decisions about refund spending
  • Avoid registration holds that affect thousands of students each semester

Students who complete the quiz are entered into a drawing to win one of five prizes.
