UPB - Initiating a Prior Underpayment Adjustment (PUA) Job Change for Monthly Employee
A job change that is too late for a payroll calculation is reflected by a backdated Personnel Date in Banner. Job Change is the adjustment reason to pay missed days or differences in pay rates due to job changes, as well as for 9/12 deferred payouts.
When making an adjustment due to a late job change, you will frequently need to adjust a different pay period than the one worked. For the job changes to be valid, you will need to adjust a pay period during which the job change is effective, with validation established by a backdated Personnel Date in Banner (shown as PCD in PARIS).
Adjustments processed using the Job Change adjustment reason does not report any Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) tracking (APH). Use Late Job Posting if PPACA tracking is required.
