Canvas@Illinois , Copying from a Development Space into a Registrar-affiliated Space

If you have previously created a Development space in Canvas, you may wish to copy its content into a Registrar-affiliated space, and this article explains the process.

If you already have a Development space in Canvas and wish to copy its content into a Registrar-affiliated space, you will want to submit a request for a Registrar-affiliated space through the Space Request Application (SRA): go.illinois.edu/sra

During that request process, you'll be able to select any rosters that should be connected to the site; these requests are processed once a day (typically between 2-4pm).

This new course space will be blank by default, but you can quickly copy all of the content in your Development space to the new Registrar-affiliated space with the Course Import Tool: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-copy-content-from-another-Canvas-course-using-the/ta-p/1012

A video recording of this process can also be found here: https://mediaspace.illinois.edu/media/t/1_bs1vopq4
