VMD is a molecular visualization program for displaying, animating, and analyzing large biomolecular systems using 3-D graphics and built-in scripting.

ChemOffice is a suite of tools that enable scientists and researchers to effectively capture and share data on compounds, materials, and chemical reactions.  ChemOffice contains a number of applications, such as ChemDraw, Chem3D, ChemFinder, and more.  For more information on the applications that comprise ChemOffice, see the link above. 

  • Graduate Students
    1. If your home academic department is the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (ChBE) or the Department of Chemistry OR
    2. If your appointment is with the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (ChBE) or the Department of Chemistry
    3. If you work in a ChBE or Chemistry lab, contact scs-help@illinois.edu, and we may be able to help. 

    4. For all other graduate students, faculty or staff, a license may be purchased using a University account number from:

  • Undergraduates:
    • SCS does not provide ChemOffice licenses for undergraduates. However, you can use ChemOffice on a University-owned computer where it has already been installed.
    • You may purchase a personal use license of ChemOffice from the UI Webstore using a credit card from: https://webstore.illinois.edu/shop/product.aspx?zpid=4469

ChemDoodle Homepage

ChemDoodle has been licensed by Instructional Technology in the Department of Chemistry for use by anyone with a valid @illinois.edu email address.
