VTH staff and faculty should not bring in personal equipment for use in their office or in the hospital.

Under University guidelines, the VTH cannot assume responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage to an employee's personal property brought onto University premises, or University-leased premises, even if the property is brought to the hospital to be used in connection with the employee's work or studies. This applies even to your personal vehicle or personal aircraft when used in connection with your work. The University carries no insurance to cover any of these losses. See University policy on this subject at:
The employee can bring in incidental items such as a stethoscope, a radio, cd player, or a media player. However, the University will not cover the cost of replacement for any of these items.

Procedure (if applicable)

If an employee or an area of the hospital is in need of equipment, a request should be made to the area head. Equipment will be funded depending on assessment of need and availability of funding.
