Policy

Only Dispensary staff and clinicians may have access to the VTH Medication Dispensary (SAC 194).

Guidelines

  • All dispensary staff are given access
  • All house officers working within the VTH are given access
  • Staff and Faculty clinicians are given access if they have a potential need to fill medications after hours.
  • The Medication Dispensary Coordinator will request iCard access for everyone needing it.

Procedure (if applicable)

Pharmacist contacts cardaccessrequest@illinois.edu and requests the following:

  1. New Pharmacy Access
     Can you please add door access to the pharmacy (194) for the following doctor:
       Dr. XXXXX
       NetID: XXXX

  2. Whenever a clinician or house officer leaves the hospital, send a request to the same email revoking their access to the pharmacy at the end of their last day

Definitions (if applicable)

Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH): The collective clinical services of the Large Animal Clinic, Midwest Equine, the Small Animal Clinic, and the Veterinary Medicine South Clinic.
