Facilities

  • Oncology expansion – Design development phase expected to commence 7/3; another Board of Trustees review scheduled for July meeting.
  • Equine Surgery – estimated date of completion second week of July

  • Investment for Growth Info: Virtual Care Hub is an initiative by the iLearning center to engage practitioners and students in education on how to deliver telemedicine.

    - PetSmart Charities - $100,000 extension reallocation
    - Gift commitment - $100,000 Decatur + Macon Co. Animal Shelter Fund
    - Request for $200,000 matching

Pharmacy

  • Dr. Alex Gochenauer – Pharmacy Manager

  • Price adjustments:
    • Large Animals – Dispensing fee removed in lieu of case management fee
    • Preventatives  - adjusting prices to market level

Ophthalmology
Discussion: as we have more single-faculty services, how to proceed with scheduling on/off clinic time? Will try to fulfill with locums, however, there will be times of no locums.
- In agreement that services should provide us with referral information.

Dermatology

  • Dermatology – 2 weeks on/off
    • Off:  consults available (VTH + rDVM)
    • On: expanded receiving -->  double students

Financials | Budget

    • CVM – Salary allocation assumptions
      • Clinical faculty split on State/SS funds
        (42.5% Instructors, 40% lecturers, 35% clinical)

    • Change in CMS interpretation of fringe for health, life, and dental picked up by the state (35.5% --> 12%) for SS staff. Results in decreased expense from $1M --> $325k.

  • UCC Transfer protocol – updated and in place
