Personnel Updates
- Welcome Drs. Aghili (ECC) and Berry (Oncology), started 10/16
- Dr. Kennedy will start 10/30
- Dr. Felipe Martins will start 11/1
- VTH:
- Jacob Manning (Farrier) to start in January
- Kristina Slaby (practice coordinator MWE)
- Krystal Newberry (100%, assuming Gail’s duties)
- Business Office:
- 2 open positions – interviewing next week.
- Dorothy Kinard retiring on 12/31
- Medical Records:
- Marcia Dyson starting 11/3
- 1 open position for Health Information Specialist (prev. Charge Auditor) – currently 15 applicants and still open
- Hospital Services:
- 8 CVT positions - open
- 1 VA (ECC) position – interviewing
- 1 LAC Caretaker – open
- 1 Imaging Coordinator for Radiation Oncology
Facilities
- Oncology Addition – preparing their 50% CD submittal to Univ next Thursday.
- Wildlife Education Classroom (Cube) – Pending internal drawings
- Ward 2/4 floors being finished today, tomorrow
- LA Locker room/Diagnostic Imaging – locker room project approved, scheduled to start next spring
- VMSC – waiting on plans, expected phase 1 start January
Programs
- Critical Care reopened 10/9
- Dr. Lauralei Fisher-Cronkhite taking over the Controlled Substance monitoring program for VTH

- Annual college visit with the provost and team rescheduled to Thursday, December 7th
- November 20th, holiday luncheon and awards
- Anesthesia will have reduced case receiving on Jr. Sx. Days (Tuesday mornings)

Clients will be asked to pay the exam fee and patients will receive a triage exam by a doctor. Scored on a scoring stability status and will be seen in that order.

Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee

To generate funds for the antimicrobial stewardship committee’s activities and research, a proposal for the implementation of a $2.00 fee/patient to be added to the SA service exam fees.
The proposal was discussed, and consensus was made that funding should not be derived from patient care.
Service Updates

Equine Therio – limited services 2024 season. Will not have standing stallions and will not do long-term boarding of brooding mares.
- Space labeling – facilities, directional wayfinding cube signs
